Amanda Smithfield is the school librarian at Hume-Fogg Academic Magnet School, where she sponsors the high school Democrats and Republicans. She is a 2016 Library Journal Mover and Shaker. She started ProjectCiv, a monthly discussion about politics, to provide a space for students to come together, read different opinions, and share their own thoughts.
